Would you like to volunteer your crafting skills to make fidget blankets, catheter privacy bags, or memorial projects?

Suncrest Hospice is looking for creative volunteers to help make these items, and many others, for our terminally ill patients and their loved ones. For each project, all materials needed will be provided - we just need your help to make these ideas come to life!

Memorial pillows and bears are created using fabrics from our patients. These keepsakes are then offered as gifts to families after their loved one passes.

You can work from the office, or from the comfort of your home. Project assignment and time-tracking will be coordinated by our Volunteer Coordinator.

*Company policy requires all employees and volunteers to undergo the same onboarding requirements, which may include drug testing, TB testing, and criminal background check. For questions, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Rhyan Paxson at 602-633-1828 -or- rpaxson@suncrestcare.com

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care and customer service to our patients, their families and our referring sources. We believe that exceptional clinical care must include clear communication, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and a dedication to deliver services with passion and integrity. We are committed to maintaining a team comprised of the most talented and compassionate professionals in the industry. As our greatest asset, our team supports each other, takes on complete ownership of their duties, and continually seeks to enhance their personal character and education. Suncrest will reach its goals, under the directions of leaders who seek to serve, an office staff that supports, and a philosophy, that growth is only achieved through the greatest efforts of the entire team.

Description

Hospice is not a "place" but a philosophy. The care provided by Suncrest Hospice does not focus on halting, delaying, or curing of an illness but rather on comfort. At the center of hospice care is the core belief that each of us has a right to die pain-free and with dignity.

Suncrest hospice provides exceptional care to their patients by qualified and compassionate physicians, nurses, aides, social workers, spiritual advisors, and volunteers. Our team is committed to our patients comfort and quality of life while also supporting the patient's family members. Our goal is to manage our patient's pain and symptoms, respond to the emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs. We also provide education to caregivers on how to better care for our patients. In all of this, the volunteer has the opportunity to play an essential role within the team.
