Community Education Partnerships
Community Education Partnerships (CEP) believes in providing quality education to students in the Bay Area who are homeless and to those facing housing instability. As a consistent presence in the life of a homeless youth, you can help build up that child’s confidence and instill a joy for reading and math that will help set them up for academic success.
CEP recently opened a Children's Learning Center at a new family shelter on the Oakland/Emeryville border. We are seeking volunteers to join us onsite for outdoor, socially-distanced education and organized play activities with pre-k through high school students. Social distancing, masks, and enhanced hygiene measures will be enforced.
Activities will take place during weekdays between 1 pm and 5 pm. No teaching experience is required and all of the necessary training is provided. Students range from pre-K through high school.

The mission of Community Education Partnerships (CEP) is to increase the learning opportunities and enhance the academic achievement of homeless and highly mobile children in the Bay Area.
The primary function of CEP is to recruit and train volunteers to provide high-quality academic tutoring for homeless children in the pre-kindergarten - 12th grade school system. Volunteers get matched with a student with whom they meet once per week, typically at a shelter or transitional home.
We'll work with your schedule.
