ORGANIZATION: HERS Breast Cancer Foundation

We're seeking a licensed cosmetologist to provide wig fitting services for breast cancer survivors.

Our team will handle booking appointments and patient paper work; the cosmetologist volunteer is needed to suggest wigs based on patient preferences, fit patients with wigs, and trim wigs, if needed.

Our Foundation follows all county, state, and CDC guidelines and protocols to protect our patients and team during the pandemic. Precautions include patient, employee, and volunteer health screenings, PPE (hospital-grade masks and cleaning supplies), and frequent cleaning of high touch areas.

We ask that our volunteers be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and influenza.

We are first and foremost a service for women and women’s health. Our programs enunciate and further fulfill the mission of the foundation to serve all women, including the underserved, in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our programs are a service designed to help patients overcome the devastating emotional and physical effects of breast cancer treatment. We provide a safe, compassionate environment for breast cancer survivors to be properly fitted for bras, prostheses, lymphedema garments, and wigs. The service and the products of HERS Breast Cancer Foundation are vital to breast cancer patients’ physical and emotional healing.
