Cosmetologist for Breast Cancer Patient Wig Fittings
We're seeking a licensed cosmetologist to provide wig fitting services for breast cancer survivors one day per week for our Hair With Care Program.
Our team will handle booking appointments and patient paper work; the cosmetologist volunteer is needed to suggest wigs based on patient preferences, fit patients with wigs, and trim wigs, if needed.
Alameda County has given HERS permission to provide this service during Covid-19 as it's considered an ancillary health service.
Our Foundation follows all county, state, and CDC guidelines and protocols to protect our patients and team during the pandemic. Precautions include patient, employee, and volunteer health screenings, PPE (hospital-grade masks and cleaning supplies), frequent cleaning of high touch areas, and much more.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
