Working Wardrobes

The Power of a Paycheck

Through generous donations, we are able to offer clients clothing services in our Wardrobing Center as well as sell quality, new and gently-used clothing & accessories in four retail stores throughout Orange County. Our next venture is to sell our most sought after donated, luxury items online on the Poshmark & Etsy platforms. $.87 cents of every dollar goes back into our programming to better serve our clients.

The eCommerce Fashion & Digital Volunteer will be our resident fashion industry expert on brands, styles, trends, as well as pricing, textiles, designers, and retailers.

Sample tasks:

Maintain Poshmark & Etsy website accounts.

Select & style merchandise into outfits for social media and email outreach

Prepare clothing for photos, dress and style mannequins

Take digital photos of merchandise. Edit and post photos/descriptions on brand sites

Write and edit product descriptions and price items

Identify gaps in product assortment and help Donation Center Coordinator fill them

Ship and Pack sold merchandise

Research competitor sites and identify market trends

Participate in development of ecommerce marketing strategy

Research and create social media content, including Instagram and Facebook

If you are passionate about fashion, have a knack for social media and any experience/interest in online shopping platforms like Etsy or Poshmark, we can't wait to hear from you! The role can be done mostly virtual with some in-person shifts in our Donation Center.

For more information, please contact Bianca Herrera.
