Want to provide a quick, easy, nutritious meal for those in need? Pack a lunch (or more!) for the residents in our shelters. A typical lunch includes: a sandwich, fruit/veggies, crackers/chips/sweet treat, and a bottled water. We accept to 30 lunches per day at each of our 2 shelters. You can also choose to prepare/deliver sack lunches on a weekly/monthly basis.
NOTE: While there have been no cases of COVID-19 in any of our programs, all volunteer opportunities are currently contactless for the safety of our clients, staff, and volunteers.

Description
Friendship Shelter was incorporated in 1987 to provide year-round shelter and rehabilitation to homeless adults. Today we provide a full complement of rehabilitative services to those most in need and addresses the many interrelated problems of homelessness, including mental and physical health, drug and alcohol addiction, personal responsibility, education, and employment opportunity. To date, more than 10,000 people have participated in a Friendship Shelter program, and each night nearly 150 homeless people sleep safe, warm, and cared for.
