The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore HOPE, inspire GROWTH, and EMPOWER girls and women through education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services.

Description:

The Enrichment Leader will create and conduct specific workshops based on selected topics. They will support foster junior high students emotionally, spiritually, and professionally by teaching them team building skills, leadership qualities, and confidence. The Enrichment Leader must be able to provide an interactive and positive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with students via video conferencing technology (Zoom, Skype)
• Motivate and support students to help achieve their personal goals
• Create content for specific workshopsConduct workshop presentations

• Create creative content and promote student inclusivity for the students to get them involved and interested in the presentation
• Adjust the presentations to meet the needs of the students
• Monitor students’ progress and be able to address any issues that may arise
• Working with middle school and high school students on a weekly basis by leading one of our enrichment workshops utilizing video technology

Requirements:

• Knowledge of utilizing the internet and video conferencing software to schedule sessions with students
• Possess strong personal integrity and ethical principles
• Possess strong organization, time management, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

• Ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, parents and youth
• Ability to develop, implement and supervise lesson plans for personal, social, and academic development
• Possess a positive outlook and the ability to motivate and encourage others
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Reliable form of transportation

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Must be comfortable with teaching content through online video software
• Have experience or extensive knowledge in any of the following areas:

• College Planning
• Resume and Interviewing

• Teen Violence
• Drama
• Writing
• Youth Stress Management
• Youth Leadership

• Nutrition (Healthy Habits)
• Works well with kids
• Be able to conduct an hour-long online presentation
• Ability to pass the mandated reporter exam
• Volunteer must have the appropriate technology, internet connection and ability to function in a virtual capacity via Microsoft Teams
