ORGANIZATION: Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership

WCK is looking for volunteers to help us prepare and deliver fresh meals for people evacuated from and impacted by the Shady & Glass Fires in northern California. You may be helping to cook in the kitchen, assembling fresh sandwiches, packaging meals, or cleaning. We may also need volunteers to deliver meals using their own cars. Please come prepared with long pants, hair back, closed toe shoes, and no jewelry. Bring water and be sure that you are staying hydrated. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. COVID-19 Safety: Stay home if you are not feeling well or have a fever. Wash your hands often; you will have to wear the disposable gloves that we provide while volunteering. Volunteers MUST wear a fabric face covering at all times. Be sure to arrive on time. The kitchen is located at the Sonoma Fairgrounds, 1350 Bennett Valley Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95404. About Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership

Location:

65 Mitchell Blvd., Ste. 101, SAN RAFAEL, CA 94903, US

Mission Statement

We know that passion alone isn't enough when it comes to creating strong nonprofits. That's why we work with aspiring and established leaders every day to help them build the skills and connections that can take their impact to the next level. With confident and prepared leaders, our nonprofits will be better equipped to create healthy, happy communities. CVNL has engaged individuals in volunteerism continuously for more than 50 years and expanded to Napa county in July 2014. Every day, passionate individuals like you dedicate their work to advancing our communities, vulnerable populations, natural landscapes, and cultural institutions. But without the critical know-how in operational essentials like fundraising, board governance, and volunteer recruitment, their causes may fall short of their potential. CVNL brings local leaders the expert guidance and professional resources they need to build resilient, impactful organizations.
