Pomeroy Living History Farm is seeking volunteers to help with some of our educational programs throughout the year. We typically offer school programs during the week in October and May of each year, and need assistance in leading activities and historical demonstrations.
Pomeroy Living History Farm is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to preserving and maintaining history, providing educational opportunities, and sharing farm life - past and present - with the community. Pomeroy Farm is a nationally registered historic site and farm museum located in Yacolt, WA. Since being settled in 1910 by E.C. Pomeroy the farm has been continually inhabited and run by his descendants. We gained our nonprofit status in 1989 and have since worked to preserve the farm and a way of life that is becoming more and more distant. Our volunteers are an integral piece of our success and we rely on them heavily to carry out our community events. Our public events vary throughout the year, and include fall and spring school programs, an annual Country Life Fair, and a pumpkin patch in October.
If you'd like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you!
