ORGANIZATION: POMEROY LIVING HISTORY FARM

Image_201904021304

Pomeroy Living History Farm is seeking volunteers to help with fundraising for farm events and operations. This opportunity requires no experience--just a passion for sharing history with the community and raising funds for this Clark County treasure! Must be comfortable with soliciting support from local businesses, funding organizations, and individuals. Opportunity is remote, though we can arrange a meeting to get you acquainted with the farm if necessary.

Pomeroy Living History Farm is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to preserving and maintaining history, providing educational opportunities, and sharing farm life - past and present - with the community. Pomeroy Farm is a nationally registered historic site and farm museum located in Yacolt, WA. Since being settled in 1910 by E.C. Pomeroy the farm has been continually inhabited and run by his descendants. We gained our nonprofit status in 1989 and have since worked to preserve the farm and a way of life that is becoming more and more distant. Our volunteers are an integral piece of our success and we rely on them heavily to carry out our community events. Our public events vary throughout the year, and include fall and spring school programs, an annual Country Life Fair, and a pumpkin patch in October.

If you'd like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you!
