Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant of Human Resources will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resource office.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
• Receives and replies to office emails and mails.
• Schedules and organizes appointments; take minutes during departmental meetings.
• Processes required paperwork for new employees, changes in job classification, salary, record vacations, and time off request, and other related employment matters.
• May assist with the preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
• Ability to operate general office equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to type 40 words a minute.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Minimum 10 hours per month in-office assistance.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Administrative training required.
• Two years of administrative assistant experience preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Virtual assignments and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
