SPRUCE IT UP: Revitalize TreePeople Park

Save to Favorites

WHAT: Maintain trails, plant, and tend the nursery at TreePeople Park.

ABOUT TREEPEOPLE: TreePeople is an environmental nonprofit that unites the power of trees, people and technology to grow a sustainable future for Los Angeles. https://www.treepeople.org/

VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES: L.A. Works volunteers come out to help maintain TreePeople Park, a 45-acre area that thousands of Los Angeles-area students visit every year to take part in environmental educational programs. Volunteers help maintain trails, remove invasive plants, re-grade slopes and tend the nursery.

IMPACT: Volunteering with TreePeople is fun and rewarding. Our events empower you with the support, training and tools you need to be an engine of change. Join us each week as we plant and care for trees, remove invasive species and maintain our beautiful park! TreePeople's grassroots activities focus on serving under resourced communities lacking protection from heat and climate impacts, maintaining our 45-acre headquarters here in Coldwater Canyon Park along with restoring our local mountain forests.
