Help maintain and care for the trails, plants, and grounds at TreePeople Park with L.A. Works. ABOUT TREEPEOPLE TreePeople is an environmental nonprofit that unites the power of trees, people, and technology to grow a sustainable future for Los Angeles. https://www.treepeople.org/ IMPACT By helping to maintain TreePeople's 45-acre park in the Santa Monica Mountains, you are enabling them to focus on grassroots activities such as restoring our local mountain forests and serving under-resourced communities lacking protection from heat and climate impacts. VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES L.A. Works volunteers come out to help maintain TreePeople Park, a 45-acre area that thousands of Los Angeles-area students visit every year to take part in environmental educational programs. Volunteers help maintain trails, remove invasive plants, re-grade slopes, and tend the park grounds. ADDITIONAL DETAILS Volunteers aged 14-17 must bring and have signed by a parent/guardian a Volunteer Agreement & Release for Minors. Volunteers under 14 may not participate. This is a physically demanding project This project will occur rain or shine Wear shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty QUESTIONS? Email the Opportunity Coordinator below.
