Arlington Free Clinic is in need of licensed mental health volunteers to see patients remotely or in-person! AFC strives to support physical & emotional well-being and has been providing mental health services in a primary care setting since 2001. Aware that mental health care delivered in a primary care setting is highly effective, we are currently seeking volunteer mental health professionals who can promote mental health, resilience, and overall well-being for our low income, uninsured population. With the changes and stresses brought about by COVID-19 our patient needs have increased and we would like to bring on more volunteers to meet the increased need.

We are currently seeking NPs, RNs, LPCs, LMFTs, or LCSWs licensed in Virginia. Spanish language ability is most welcome, but not required. Volunteers must commit to 1-2 shifts a month and appointments can be done via telemedicine. Please email volunteer@arlingtonfreeclinic.org with a copy of your CV for more information!

**Arlington Free Clinic provides free, high-quality health care to low-income, uninsured Arlington County adults through the generosity of donors and volunteers.**

About Arlington Free Clinic

Location:

2921 11th Street South, Arlington, VA 22204, US

Mission Statement

Arlington Free Clinic advances health equity by providing comprehensive, whole-person healthcare to our neighbors who would otherwise lack access.

Description

At Arlington Free Clinic (AFC), we care for the whole person. Volunteer providers treat patients for every condition from chronic diabetes to cancer, while mental health counselors help them cope with the stresses of serious illness and poverty. New wellness programs and increased focus on preventive care help our patients live healthier lives. And, for the first time since the Clinic opened, visits to the dentist allow our patients to go out into the world with a confident smile.

Since 1994, Arlington Free Clinic has been committed to providing exemplary health care for Arlingtonians in need, serving about 1,600 patients each year. Access to health care makes such a critical difference in the lives of individuals and families - giving them peace of mind and economic security - and we continue to work every day toward a healthier Arlington.
