Cadence Hospice is looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer their time making baked goods for patients. We would like to be able to offer cupcakes, cookies, etc. to patients for celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries or just because. It doesn't need to be professional baked, from scratch or decorated like a bakery. The love and time that goes into baking is priceless. Your thoughts, time and attention is a priceless gift. We would love to just have someone willing to do it.
Hospice patients are people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and have a prognosis of 6 months or less should the disease take its natural course. Hospice patients can reside in their own home, board and care home or nursing facility. We provide hospice care to adult patients across Orange County wherever they call home.
Please reach out to us if this is something you'd be interested in. Our administrative offices are located in the city of Orange. If you are interested, you can also provide social visits to patients in addition to baking. We have various opportunities for volunteers and are eager to work with your schedule, talents, and interests.

Hospice care is about living! When a patient is diagnosed with a life limiting illness, the patient and family may become overwhelmed with planning, emotions, questions, and fear. The Traditions Health hospice team provides support and guidance to patients and their families to address each of these needs throughout their end of life journey. We walk with the patient and their loved ones each step of the way, providing the education and care they need to have the best quality of life possible.
Our team is passionate about building relationships with our patients and their loved ones so that we know what matters most to them. Whether the need is physical, spiritual or emotional, our compassionate hospice experts are available to provide the necessary support. Comfort and dignity are the anchors of hospice care. Our clinicians are highly skilled at recognizing and managing symptoms early, in most cases allowing the patient to remain comfortable at home throughout the end of their life.
