Help Seniors Enter the Digital Age - Become a Virtual Computer Coach/Group Assistant!
Our agency’s "Silver Circles" senior computer education program provides one-on-one and group sessions to help older men and women use technology - from beginners wanting to learn the basics, to more tech-savvy seniors yearning to learn new things or struggling with issues they just can’t grasp.
Virtual Computer Coaching: helping older adults through one-on-one remote sessions (telephonic and/or via video chat) with learning how to use their devices - computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. - in whatever ways fit each client's needs and interests
Virtual Group Assistance: helping older adults connect to our remote groups (both telephonic and via video chat) by helping them understand how to connect to groups, being available during the time of a group to assist one or more clients to get connected, as well as guiding them if they get kicked out of a group or have technical difficulties while participating.
Requirements:
* Must be at least 18 years old with a valid SSN (background check required)
* Availability during the hours of Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM
* Ability to set appropriate boundaries if/when necessary
* Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude!

Description
Search and Care is a not for profit social service agency that has helped over 10,000 older New York residents in the Upper East Side, East Harlem, and Upper West Side ranging from the ages 60-103.
Our experienced social workers, volunteers, and retired financial professionals make effective plans geared to each individual to maintain and hopefully improve their quality of life in our goal to help them remain in the community in their own homes as long as possible. Volunteers help us out tremendously in this regard!
We never charge a fee for our services.
