Want to help community member stay connected? Understand how to use Zoom and other online platforms?

Volunteer with Minneapolis Community ED & RSVP to help participants download and use Zoom to connect to online programming.

Participants will be 55 years and older and volunteers with assist participants one on one through phone coaching.

Volunteer Requirements:

  1. Basic understanding of how to use the Zoom Platform
  2. Ability to communicate with people about technology over the phone or in person (if able)
  3. Reliable internet access and working knowledge of computer/tablets/smartphones
  4. Patience and a sense of humor

Mission Statement

RSVP offers maximum flexibility for people 55 and over who want to find challenging, rewarding, and significant service opportunities in their communities. RSVP Volunteers work with local organizations to have impact on critical needs in several focus areas: literacy, housing, food security, independence and well-being for seniors and persons with disabilities, economic opportunity, and service to veterans and military personnel and their families. We give volunteers the flexibility to decide who and how frequently they serve and we support volunteers with placement assistance, free supplemental insurance, and other benefits.
