As a result of the pandemic, people are more isolated than ever, and weekly Customized Living activities are designed to remove barriers of isolation and loneliness. and keep residents engaged in musical and artistic programming. You can help enrich lives by supporting musical and/or artistic activities each week. As an Activities Assistant Volunteer, you will help provide important, enjoyable programming for residents and increase participation. You’ll be a friendly face checking in to remind them to join activities and assisting them with projects, if needed. -Assist residents with activities and participate in programming, especially with hands-on art projects -Help foster a welcoming environment by engaging in conversation with clients -Minimum 8-week commitment through the activity series. Volunteers age 55 and over receive free RSVP benefits!

Help cook and/or serve a free evening meal. Multiple weekday locations across the metro. -Cooking volunteers - assist with cooking pre-planned meals under the guidance of the site coordinator-- and help package meals for distribution, 2:30pm -5:00pm. -Serving volunteers - continue to package and distribute meals, clean up during and after serving, 4:45pm -7:00pm. Select the shifts and locations that work for you. Volunteers age 55 and over receive free RSVP benefits.

Volunteer Musical Entertainers Seeking musically talented volunteers for morning, lunch hour or afternoon (2:30-3:30) program times. Morning and Lunch hour could be passive, background music as our members start their day or while they are enjoying their lunch, but the 2:30 time would be more geared for performances. Position Summary: Perform music: casual background or concert style, for day elders. Music hours include morning, anytime between 9:00 - 10:45, after lunch (12:45- 1:30) and afternoons 2:30 - 3:30. There is a baby grand piano and guitar on site as well as microphones and PA system. Volunteer Times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 9:00 - 10:00, 11:45 - 12:30 or 2:30 - 3:30. Volunteers 55+ receive free RSVP benefits!

Substitute Meal Packer and Meal Delivery Driver Volunteers--Saint Paul Midway, Frogtown. Help brighten someone’s day with a meal and a smile! On-call substitutes are needed to fill in, serving Midway, Frogtown and the surrounding neighborhoods of Saint Paul.* - Meal Packers help pack and prepare meals for delivery to older adults and people with limited mobility in the Saint Paul area. Shifts available Monday through Friday, 9-10:30am. - Meals on Wheels Drivers pick up meals and deliver to 4-12 participants’ homes. Shifts available Monday through Friday, 10:30-11:30am. Military Memories Discussion Group- Hopkins Help facilitate a day-elder veterans group sharing their military stories and memories-- or give a presentation/slide show on your experience. -Help with the monthly group, or help periodically, or give a 1-time presentation. Volunteers can present to the larger Day Center group, or converse with a smaller vets-only group @ 12-14 people. The group runs about 45-50 minutes. Staff are always present to help facilitate. If v olunteers would like more ideas, or need a little help filling up the time, s taff has an outline they can use. -Volunteers age 55 and over receive free RSVP benefits.
