The Arts & Business Council of Chicago is looking for skilled Chicagoans to help local artmakers and creatives recover from the effects of the pandemic.
Through our Business Volunteers for the Arts program, you can assist on a variety of issues related to audience development, marketing, communications, strategic planning, business planning, financial planning, etc.
We're looking for individuals interested in working on both long-term (2-6 months) and short-term consulting engagements that range from 1-4 hours long.

Description
The Arts & Business Council of Chicago’s mission is to strengthen arts, cultural, & creative organizations.
We do this by building working relationships between creative organizations & enterprises and skilled Chicagoans, providing training in all aspects of management and board function, and highlighting research in leading and emerging issues related to the world of arts management.
With a focus on services and programs that have been refined and developed over its 36-year history, A&BC serves arts enterprises of all sizes -emerging, small, and mid-sized in many phases of development, other participants in the creative economy, skilled volunteers interested in giving back to their communities, and by extension audiences, participants, and patrons of the arts.
In 2020, A&BC adapted educational programs, trainings, and pro bono consulting to virtual, providing over 1,500 hours of pro bono consulting valued at nearly $230,000.

- Orientation or Training
- Long term BVA Projects range between 2-6 month commitment. Short term/ BVA On Demand consulting is 1-4 hours per Arts Partner/ client.
- Applications are being accepted now through August 26, 2022. Volunteers are required to interview and attend the BVA Orientation on Saturday September 10, 2022 from 10am-1pmCST. TBD- virtual or in person.
