High School Volunteer Leadership Program: Summer Camps
ORGANIZATION: The Children's Museum of the Upstate
Please visit the new page to apply.
The High School Leadership program allows teens to build critical thinking and leadership skills while working closely with museum staff. Beyond gaining critical knowledge about informal education for early childhood through elementary school in a museum setting, volunteers will learn about specific program content from science to art. The volunteer program will therefore focus on four areas: leadership, collaboration, teaching skills, and social skills.
The focus for the summer session is camps, particularly morning camps. Volunteers assist the camp educator as needed, but most importantly, they make learning fun for the campers!
Application and 2 references are due by Saturday, July 11th. The link to the reference form is located on the confirmation page of the application.
