EMO- HIV Services

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 6 people are interested

We are looking for volunteers to assist us for when we reopen our drop-in day center for low income and homeless individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Since the pandemic we have had to change the services we were able to offer to our clients, if all goes as planned, we will be able to resume our regular operations in early July but we will desperately need more help. We have had changes to our staff and have lost a couple of our core volunteers. When we reopen there is going to be more leg work to keep our space sanitized and safe for our clients. Some duties we will have available are;

  • Sanitation of communal areas
  • Providing clients with hygiene items
  • Bus tables
  • Dishes
  • Assist in the kitchen by prepping food and/or taking orders
  • Providing psychosocial support
  • Organizing clothing closet
  • And just being there for our clients

Our normal hours are Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri., 9am-3pm and Wed., 9am-12pm. We are open and flexible to work with all volunteer schedules and needs. We are also felony friendly!
