We are looking for volunteers to assist us at our drop-in day center that serves low income and homeless individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Some duties we have available are:

  • Donation Pick-Up & Delivery from Coava Coffee - Every other Wednesday
  • Assistance with Food Service: serving, taking orders, food prep, and clean up.
  • Sanitation
  • Career Builder
  • Translator
  • Hairstylist
  • Reiki Practitioner
  • Acupuncture Practitioner - Ears only
  • Guided Meditation or Mindfulness Exercises
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Etiquette Coaching
  • Bingo
  • Literacy Skills

Our current hours are Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, 9am-3pm, and Wed 9am-12pm. We are open and flexible to work with all volunteer schedules and needs, and we are also felony friendly. Feel free to reach out to Taylor Gleffe (tgleffe@emoregon.org) with any questions.

"Ecumenical Ministries HIV Services Program is a community of clients, staff, and volunteers that strive to address basic needs of individuals living with HIV/AIDS in a manner consistent with the values of respect, compassion and safety.

Description

The HIV Services program operates a Day Center which offers a place of care, respect, and support for people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. The Center provides nutritious meals on-site daily, as well as counseling and a variety of critical support services. HIV Services also provides high quality home-delivered meals to homebound clients through our Daily Bread Express (DBX) program.
