We are looking for volunteers to assist us at our drop-in day center that serves low income and homeless individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Some duties we have available are:

  • Donation Pick-Up & Delivery from Coava Coffee - Every other Wednesday
  • Assistance with Food Service: serving, taking orders, food prep, and clean up.
  • Sanitation
  • Career Builder
  • Translator
  • Hairstylist
  • Reiki Practitioner
  • Acupuncture Practitioner - Ears only
  • Guided Meditation or Mindfulness Exercises
  • Arts and Crafts

Our current hours are Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, 9am-3pm, and Wed 9am-12pm. We are open and flexible to work with all volunteer schedules and needs, and we are also felony friendly. Our hours have recently extended as COVID regulations have changed and we have a high capacity for volunteer opportunities. "Ecumenical Ministries HIV Services Program is a community of clients, staff, and volunteers that strive to address basic needs of individuals living with HIV/AIDS in a manner consistent with the values of respect, compassion and safety.

Description

The HIV Services program operates a Day Center which offers a place of care, respect, and support for people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. The Center provides nutritious meals on-site daily, as well as counseling and a variety of critical support services. HIV Services also provides high quality home-delivered meals to homebound clients through our Daily Bread Express (DBX) program.
