Kitchens for Good believes that all food has power and that all people have potential. Now more than ever, we remain steadfast to its mission to break the cycles of food waste, poverty, and hunger in San Diego and addressing the growing need for food assistance in these times of crisis. We are continuing to ramp up our hunger relief meal production to meet the growing need in our community, while also supporting our students and alumni. And we NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! We rely on a team of 20 volunteers a day to portion and package meals for distribution.
We have repurposed our 18,000 sq. ft. event space into a space for volunteers, to assist with portioning, sealing, and labeling the hunger relief meals. Volunteers are spaced at least six feet apart and are provided with masks, gloves, and aprons.
