We are looking for individuals that would like to come cook breakfast for our clients! We also have positions available for just taking food orders, serving, prep food, making sack lunches and cleaning up. Our breakfasts are typically very basic and we are more than happy to train anyone who is interested. Our menu is different each day but consist of the following items throughout the week.

  • Scrambled Eggs
  • Pancakes
  • Waffles
  • Biscuits and Gravy
  • Potatoes
  • Hash Browns
  • Breakfast Burritos
  • Breakfast Sandwiches
  • Oatmeal
  • Yogurt
  • Muffins
We are also open to having you bring your own recipes and ideas. We provide all food items needed to cook. Food handler's permit is required but we will pay for and assist you with the process.

"Ecumenical Ministries HIV Services Program is a community of clients, staff, and volunteers that strive to address basic needs of individuals living with HIV/AIDS in a manner consistent with the values of respect, compassion and safety.

Description

The HIV Services program operates a Day Center which offers a place of care, respect, and support for people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. The Center provides nutritious meals on-site daily, as well as counseling and a variety of critical support services. HIV Services also provides high quality home-delivered meals to homebound clients through our Daily Bread Express (DBX) program.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • We are flexible but would appreciate commitment to at least one day a week. The duration is also flexible, we work with all our volunteer's schedules. Also if interested in just coming in one time, we are more than happy to accommodate.
  • Food Handler's Permit (we will pay for and assist in process). You are able to volunteer while obtaining the Food Handler's Permit.
