During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
If you feel like you need to do something, but you are not sure what that looks like, we have a place for you.
Volunteering for Bridge Hospice can be in several different ways.
Volunteer in the office and put our patient admission binders together.
Make calls to caregivers of patients with an encouraging word. We will help you with the wording and dialog.
Write cards or letters of encouragement to patients, caregivers or family members.
At this point we have limited visiting of patients but they still need engagement in their life.
We aim to make our patients and their family members feel important for the rest of their lives. Not just medical in nature but relational.
Could you be a part of this?
We provide the orientation and training (16 hours - 20 hours worth depending on the area you volunteer in)
We provide TB test for you free of charge.
Basic background check and drug testing since you are involved on a medical nature with our patients.
We do what we know to do for our patients, but some times they just need to hear a voice. Sometimes they need to know they are important at this point and it is actually a simple thing to do. You can play a part in this process. 4 or 5 hours a month can be a small time commitment realistically out of your month, but it makes a big difference here at our hospice.

At Bridge Hospice we are committed to excellence in serving our community. Our goal is to improve the quality of a persons life through pain management and symptom control, and to provide emotional and spiritual support to the patient and their family.
Bridge Hospice is More than medical care for a patient. It is a support for the entire family and or caregiver.
Hospice is a special concept of care designed to provide comfort and support compassionately to patients and their families when a life limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatment. Hospice care neither prolongs, nor hastens death, but rather focuses on the quality of life’s possibilities. The goal of Hospice is to improve the quality of patient’s remaining days by delivering exceptional care with an emphasis on comfort, dignity, and compassion. Volunteers play a big part of meeting the needs of our families.
We'll work with your schedule.
