One or two volunteers are needed for set-up of the Lincoln Park Farmers Market every Sunday, June through October, 9:30 am - 11:00 am. The Set Up Laborer has responsibility for the successful set-up of the market. Masks and social distancing are required at the market by volunteers, market staff, vendors and customers.

Primary direction and supervision is received from the President, Friends of Lincoln Park Farmers Market.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in unloading of market canopy, tables, chairs, and miscellaneous supplies from market van.
• Assist in set up of market canopy including weighting of canopy.
• Assist in set up of canopies, including weighting of canopies, for vendors as needed.
• Assist in set up of parking lot barriers, cones etc.
• Assist in set up of sandwich board signs, flutter flags.
• Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs. is required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

The following represent the physical demands that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

• Work is performed outside in a city parking lot.
• Perform considerable walking, standing, some lifting, and carrying of up to 50 pounds will be required.
• Lifting 40 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, twisting and reaching.
• Occasional squatting and climbing.
