Become a Choral Music Instructor at our non-profit organization!
Are you a professional interested in imparting your wisdom to teens? Would you like to empower our youth and inspire them to enter your field of music?
We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled volunteers to provide virtual choral classes to teach choral to children online.
Virtual Choral Music Instructor Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a weekly appropriate lesson plan for the virtual music class for students 5 to 8 years old
- Teach vocal techniques, music theory, vocals, songwriting and lyrics
- Prepare students for a virtual performance
- Maintain two way and ongoing communication with parents and organization supervisors
- Maintain attendance of each class taught and written progress of each student
- Implement daily program standards of excellence.
- At least 18 years of age
- A degree in music education or several years of experience as a vocalist
- Ability to teach children at all levels (beginner - advanced)
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with parents
- Passion for and experience teaching children
Salary: Unpaid Volunteer Position
Hours and Commitment: 5 hours per week for a minimum of 5 months

I’RAISE Boys & Girls International Corporation is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization in New York City founded in 2012. We have been providing free tutoring, mentoring and coaching services, virtual performance classes, college preparation program, nutrition workshops, and parent education program. As a minority led non-profit organization with leaders that are women of colors, we feel so much pride and we are so proud being able to provide beneficial resources to the children in under-resourced areas in New York City in-person and multiple-states virtually. And we have been successful in providing these services because of our volunteers. Come volunteer with us as we strive to make positive changes in children's life and be a safe haven that they can rely on!
