Accountability for past violence is the best way to prevent future violence.
We need someone to help pursue sanctions against leaders in Iraq who authorized violence and killings of protestors, where over 600 were killed and 30000 wounded from Oct 1 2019 thru March 2020.
We have several direct contacts on the ground and a small team of volunteers to help assemble evidence.
Ideally, the volunteer will help determine what venue will be most effective (the former prime minister has French residency, perhaps also Magnitsky act sanctions can be applied) and then to advocate for accountability in that venue. We can also use help validating petition language and some other small relatively clear tasks.
We also have other opportunities to work directly with family members and protestors, both in Iraq and elsewhere.

civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.
The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
