Aviant Hospice is looking for compassionate people to provide friendly visits to patients in group homes, nursing facilities, or in their homes. Volunteers offer friendship to our patients by visiting and talking, watching TV with them, reading to them, playing games, and more. Dates and times are flexible to your schedule.
Some volunteers offer respite and a much needed break to caregivers by sitting with their loved one so they can run errands, visit friends, or take a nap. These care visits are set up with the family.
Hospice volunteering can be very rewarding. If you are interested, please contact our volunteer coordinator at ccasson@avianthospice.com and she will get you started.

  • Office Assistance: Paperwork and filing
  • Bereavement Program: Mailing cards and making phone calls
  • Patient companionship: Sitting and visiting with patient, spend time with patient while caregiver is away, cook dinner, build a wheelchair ramp, yardwork and many other opportunities
