Join Norfolk County RSVP in writing letters to COVID-19 First Responders and Deployed Troops, thanking them for their Service. Norfolk County residents, age 55 and older can participate in this meaningful and much appreciated outreach effort. Send your letters to the RSVP office. They will be compiled with other letters we receive and forwarded to Operation Gratitude. RSVP will provide you with an information sheet with tips on what to write.
Operation Gratitude will insert your letters in special care packages that are then distributed to First Responders throughout the Country.
If you live outside of Norfolk County or are under 55 years old, please contact Operation Gratitude directly at www.operationgratitude.com for information on letter-writing.

Norfolk County RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is a community service program that invites individuals 55 and over to provide much needed volunteer service within the County. Our mission is to match and engage volunteers with meaningful community support opportunities at more than sixty municipal, non-profit and healthcare agencies in the county. Primary areas include Food Security, Elementary School Classroom Support and Veterans Support Services. Norfolk County RSVP is funded by the Norfolk County Commissioners and a federal grant to encourage and support volunteerism at a local and national level.
Operation Gratitude is a non-profit organization that provides care packages to military servicemen and first responders as a way of recognizing and honoring the critical services they provide to the Country. The program has delivered more than 200,000 First Responder Care Packs to 400+ departments throughout the United States. Of all the items included in these Care Packs, the most cherished are the personal letters of appreciation! Now, during the COVID-19 pandemic, these letters serve an especially important role.
