ROCKBlue has a volunteer opening for a Financial Growth Accelerator Volunteer who can work remotely/virtually.
The ROCKBlue organization is currently impacting the lives of over 5 million people - for access to life-giving water and sanitation. We are a key non-profit addressing United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Six (SDG6) - universal access to water and sanitation by 2030. This year, we will be growing substantially - having an impact on the lives of 30 million! In parallel with our growth in new countries, adding new partners, expanding our initiatives, we have a number of opportunities for bringing in additional revenue from corporations and foundations. You can join the team engaged in these revenue generating activities, including fundraising. Growing or adding skills in this area will prove highly valuable and marketable to you as individuals with this experience are heavily sought after and well paid.
Hence, this an exciting opportunity to have a major (positive) impact for humanity; but to also gain international experience, marketing experience, fundraising experience, project management and leadership experience. There is opportunity for advancement and possibility, in the future, for this to become a paid position.
The scope of activities includes:
- Receiving direction and reporting to the President of ROCKBlue
- Brainstorming on creative ways to engage corporations and foundations in the work of ROCKBlue
- Assisting with earned income and donation activities
- Coordinating with a team of dedicated individuals
- Guiding team members
- Developing and/or fine tuning strategies and guiding team members to execute the strategy
- Team building
- Team leadership
- Non-profits/non-governmental organizations
- Team building
- Project leadership/project management
- Successful task delegation to team members and holding team members accountable
- Experience in fundraising is preferred but not required

ROCKBlue partners with the water and sanitation utilities that supply the basic amenities of water and sanitation to the urban poor. We empower our partner utilities by being a connector and service provider. Description
ROCKBlue aims to solve the growing gap between reliable water supply and accelerating urban demand. We are a nonprofit that leverages a large network of highly experienced specialists. ROCKBlue focuses on strengthening the ability of water and sanitation utilities to provide these services to the poorest in cities and towns across the developing world.
ROCKBlue accomplishes this mission through respectful and mutually beneficial partnerships with both public utilities in the developing world and with the international donors and lenders supporting these utilities.
