Machiah's House is a new non-profit agency in its beginning stages and in need of a web designer to assist with agency's website. We desire to have a unique, easy navigation yet very informative site that will draw potential donors & partnerships, residents, volunteers and awareness of who we are and the services we provide.

The program will focus primarily on "at risk" young female adults between the ages of 18 to 21. This age group is particularly problematic and a perfect time for mentoring to be effective. At Machiah's House, our aim is to provide young adults with a stable, secure and nurturing home because we believe that the very best environment for a young adult to grow up in is within a supported unit. The needs and welfare of the young adult is paramount at all times and our services will reflect this.

We strive to improve the practices, programs and policies that help ensure these young female adults have the relationships, resources and opportunities they need for well-being and success. The agency will also ensure focus on individual advocacy and on connecting young adults to vital services in the areas of mental health assessments, linking resident to the recommended treatment (both individual and group treatment plans), therapy goal-setting and attainment, academic opportunities, abuse and neglect, custody, domestic violence, and justice, and discharge planning. In addition to the counseling team, a licensed psychologist may also be a source of support for our residents. Machiah's House seeks to provide the best intensive supportive services for the care of our young female adults. The ideal candidate will reside in the local Charlotte, NC area that is operated 24/7.
