Are you fluent in a language(s) other than English? We would love to have you join our volunteer family! Cadence Hospice provide hospice services to patients across Orange County, as far north into LA County as Whittier and La Habra, down to San Clemente and San Bernardino County (i.e Rancho Cucamonga, Pomona, and Chino Hills), wherever the patient calls home. Patients may reside in their own home, board and care home or facility. Patients may speak languages other than English and would benefit from a friendly visitor who speaks the same language as they do. You can also visit with English speaking patients as well! With hospice patients, we never know how long we have to touch their lives. Having an established team with varied talents, skills, times, etc. helps us to positively impact the lives of patients and their families. We like to be proactive versus reactive.

Your skills, generous time and volunteer efforts would greatly benefit a hospice patient and their family. Please respond to this post for more information on how to become a hospice volunteer with Cadence Hospice. We are looking forward to working with you to improve the quality of life for our patients.

If you would like to contribute in a different way, please reach out to us. We strive to utilize and highlight the unique skills and interests of our volunteers any way that we can.

Description

Hospice care is about living! When a patient is diagnosed with a life limiting illness, the patient and family may become overwhelmed with planning, emotions, questions, and fear. The Traditions Health hospice team provides support and guidance to patients and their families to address each of these needs throughout their end of life journey. We walk with the patient and their loved ones each step of the way, providing the education and care they need to have the best quality of life possible.

Our team is passionate about building relationships with our patients and their loved ones so that we know what matters most to them. Whether the need is physical, spiritual or emotional, our compassionate hospice experts are available to provide the necessary support. Comfort and dignity are the anchors of hospice care. Our clinicians are highly skilled at recognizing and managing symptoms early, in most cases allowing the patient to remain comfortable at home throughout the end of their life.
