OHS Marketing Manager Position:
Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies, marketing
communications, and public relations activities for Ohlone Humane Society. Oversees development and
implementation of support materials and services. Coordinates the efforts of Marketing managers as
well as other OHS programs.

Overseeing the Marketing Team efforts
 Building brand recognition of OHS and our services in the Tri-City community and beyond
 Engaging compassionate people, groups and corporations to support OHS through participation
or donation
 Delivering relevant and compelling humane messaging through our communication platforms.
 Our team currently includes an email newsletter manager and a crew of social media posters.

Coordinating with other OHS programs
 Manage and coordinate events with the Volunteer Director including participation in the Niles
Dog Show, a sizable annual community event of which OHS is a beneficiary. Marketing is
responsible for event outreach, expense tracking, etc.
OHS has an event booth which needs signage, literature, giveaways and so on appropriate for
each event/audience.
The KIDZONE is a part of our booth where children and their parents can participate in fun and
educational humane activities.
 Work closely with the Fundraising/Grants program including support for their events and
outreach. The Fundraising Team participated in the SF Strut Your Mutt hosted by Best Friends
Animal Society, a nationwide event which raises funds for participating groups.
 Work with each program to refresh their messaging on the website and address their marketing
needs.
Being a small Nonprofit means creative, inexpensive marketing ideas and solutions are greatly
appreciated and encouraged :o)
