Role Overview
In our pursuit to make quality education accessible around the world, the School Group (SG) is seeking a Director of e-Learning to join our team! This position provides leadership for the School Group e-Learning programs. In this role you will manage the development, evaluation, and implementation of curriculum projects. Additionally, you will also provide guidance and oversee the development of Teachers’ curriculum and instruction design.
Essential Functions
- Provide strategic and operational management and leadership of the Office of eLearning.
- Develop instructional technology support based on a solid understanding of S G’s eLearning practices and instructional strategies.
- Facilitate the use of course design standards, procedures and practices and apply the same to SG’s eLearning programs
- Implement quality control practices , monitor eLearning student satisfaction, retention, and faculty performance.
- Coordinate training and mentoring opportunities for faculty engaged in designing, instructing, or reviewing online / hybrid courses; research, develop, and schedule quality-training opportunities for new and continuing faculty, in the use of technology in instruction design support, for the purpose of assisting students in using eLearning tools for effective study.
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate performance of the Learning managers, teachers and other professional staff as assigned.
- Research and implement new instructional strategies to remain competitive in the delivery of education; research emerging technologies and their application to teaching and learning.
- Work within instruction to develop strategies and inform decision-making about eLearning practices that promote SG’s eLearning initiatives.
- Pursue funding opportunities and manage budget to enhance eLearning opportunities and support student success initiatives.
- Encourage and facilitate a positive working environment; provide positive team development and lifelong learning staff development opportunities.

Qualifications
Basic
- Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, Education, or other teaching/technology related discipline.
- Effective leadership experience in a supervisory role.
- 1-2 years of similar administrative experience in effectively developing and managing personnel, budgets, and projects.
- E xperience in teaching online environment and curriculum development.
- Experience and general knowledge with learning management systems
- Experience with implementation of quality assessment standards in curriculum development.
- Experience in a Higher Education setting supporting Instruction and/or Administration.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; effective decision-making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated effective leadership in the following: facilitate diverse groups and form collaborative teams to maximize learning and development opportunities; analyze and solve problems; formulate and articulate goals for eLearning; evaluate processes and outcomes in a collaborative and creative manner; provide for the development, maintenance, and evaluation of innovative programming.
- Experience in planning, budgeting; personnel administration and evaluation; curriculum development and review, evaluation.
- Familiarity with teaching/learning processes and with the application of educational technologies in the online and on-ground classroom.
- Ability to be proactive in examining, developing, and selecting appropriate educational technology systems to grow and meet the instructional demands.
- Working knowledge of the comprehensive services and programs and the ability to adapt to the complex, varying needs in higher education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to function and lead effectively
Preferred
- Experience and general knowledge with Blackboard learning management systems
- General knowledge of third-party support systems.
