The TGR Foundation is looking for Summer Volunteers interested in volunteering at the TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim. Volunteers will be placed in educative settings, working alongside staff and learning facilitators to ensure that students are receiving the best experience possible. As a volunteer, you will be given the responsibilities of preparing materials, assist in classrooms, interact with students and staff, and assist students in any way deemed necessary. Volunteers must also be willing to work with students in Grades 5-12. Classes offered will be STEM-related topics delivered in fun but challenging for our students to expand their knowledge and interests. Note: Background or knowledge in STEM is not a requirement, just a willingness to learn. Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age or older Must work will with students Grades 5-12 Phone interview and In-Person Interview Background check required Orientation and Training Commitment for the duration of the session

Description
Specific programs of the foundation include the TGR Learning Lab, a one-of-a-kind, 35,000-square-foot education facility custom-built for underserved youth within Southern California. Everything at the TGR Learning Lab is about active participation and hands-on learning. Scholars in grades 5-12 experience college-access programs focused on science, technology, engineering and math. Interactive classes - in subjects ranging from rocketry and marine biology to graphic design and coding - allow students to explore a future in almost any career and recognize the importance of attending college.
