Make Cards or Letters for Residents in Senior Living Facilities!

Do you want to help the community but don't know how because of social distancing or quarantine?

What about making a card or sending a postcard to someone at a local senior living facility?! These folks are on lock down in their residences to prevent them from contracting covid19, but it also means they're being isolated and are very lonely without the support from their families and volunteers.

Hospice patients and residents at these facilities would be so appreciative to receive a note from you! Knowing that you care about them, and that they're not alone, would really make their day. Your note will take their mind away from this situation where they have no control.

Some ideas:

  • Send a note
  • Make a postcard
  • Take a picture of your dog, lizard, bird, ferret, octopus and show them how proud you are of your baby
  • Make some individual, incredible art and mail it
  • Write a poem and share it
  • Create a meaningful message of hope and put it out there
  • Scrawl a favorite Bible verse
  • Draw your cat and share it with them

Please contact me if you'd like to send a card, or a thousand cards, to your fellow senior neighbors (the more the merrier!):

Description

Every day of life should be on your terms.

It’s not the quantity of our days that makes life special. It’s the quality of those days. At Regional Hospice & Family Care, we provide patients with the physical, emotional and spiritual support they need to live life on their terms - fully - with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Regional Hospice & Family Care is tailored to meet the needs of those facing life-limiting illness with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing physical, emotional and even spiritual comfort to both patient and family.
