Cadence Hospice is looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer their time and efforts visiting with hospice patients providing socialization and companionship. On a deeper level, we are looking for a volunteer who will do Life Review with our appropriate patients.

What does this include? Visiting with patients and recording their life story. The recording will be a gift to the patient and their family. In our experience, we will tend to share our stories with those we consider our friend-perhaps stories we've never shared with our family and loved ones. That's where you come in! Many of the patients we serve have experiences and recollections of historical events that they can share with us. This is a gift of your time but also the gift of their story that will live on. We serve a population with unique memories, historical events, etc. that we can have the fortune of listening to.

We are open to what form the recording will be in (typed, hand-written, audio recording, video recording etc.) We strive to utilize the skills, time and efforts of our volunteers.

Cadence Hospice provide hospice services to patients across Orange County, as far north into LA County as Whittier and La Habra, down to San Clemente and San Bernardino County (i.e Rancho Cucamonga, Pomona, and Chino Hills), wherever the patient calls home. Patients may reside in their own home, board and care home or facility.

We are actively recruiting for volunteers! The COVID-19 outbreak has prevented us from making visits to patients. We are taking the time to recruit more volunteers so that once visitations can resume we can hit the ground running with our new recruits.
