Family Patterns Matter brings hope to youth who are struggling to catch up and stay caught up in school. We are looking for those individuals who have a passion for youth in reaching their dreams. This volunteer opportunity is for those who want to make a difference and bring opportunities to our youth for the future. You must have a criminal background check completed if an adult. We welcome students and adult to be part of this initiative: Mentor For Life.

Description
Founded in 2013, we received our 501c3 status on July 11, 2014. Understanding our youth is often a silent voice that is not heard; we founded a youth advisory board. Bringing youth 8-16 years of age together, we listened to what they said were issues that impact their lives. We heard the word bully, then came self-harm, poor school performance, and living in poverty. Through our program, kids have a place to fit in. They can speak about what is happening, and we listen and help them find solutions to what they need They learn life and social skills. They graduate high school. They have a future. Children will be safer, families will be stronger, and our community will be a safe place for children to live.
