We're a municipal animal shelter looking for folks who love animals! We're specifically needing volunteers who would like to attend events on our behalf and speak to the public on our various programs! Do you enjoy speaking to fellow animal lovers? Are you perhaps experienced in public speaking or a teacher? Come join our team as an Event Assistant and visit fun festivals and events around Pasco County to spread the word about our amazing shelter and our pets!

  • Events can be both on Weekdays at schools or weekends at festivals, libraries, etc.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Events may or may not include handling some of our dogs or cats

Our mission is to ensure the health and safety of the people and pets in our community by encouraging responsible pet ownership through education, legislation and by providing incentives to sterilize pets.

Description

Our goal is to save 90% of the adoptable animals that come into the shelter. We strive to create community outreach and partnerships to educate Pasco County residents on responsible pet ownership. Our volunteers are an integral part of creating a loving and supportive environment for all shelter pets while they wait to find their forever homes.
