Seamstress for CCRI Prom

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: CCRI, Inc.

CCRI is looking for seamstresses to help alter gowns for our annual prom for people with disabilities. A seamstress would need to be available during fittings for the dresses (to be scheduled in April) and commit to altering 3-5 of the dresses before mid-May. The most common alterations are shortening the dress or the straps, taking in the dress on the sides, or fixing zippers.

Mission Statement

To enhance and enrich the lives and learning of people with disabilities.

Description

CCRI is a Moorhead-based nonprofit organization that began in 1977 when a group of parents wanted more for their children than institutionalized care. What started as one home serving eight people with disabilities in a community-based setting has grown into an agency serving more than 400 people through a variety of person-centered programs. CCRI empowers those with disabilities to:

  • Live more independently.
  • Build life skills.
  • Participate more in the community.
  • Have new experiences.
  • Reach their full potential.

From 24-hour in-home support to rehabilitative mental health care, our services are as unique as each of the people we serve.
