Interest in how corporations can get more involved within the homeless community is always welcome and encouraged. In an effort to provide valuable and engaging team building activities, while also assisting us in our goal to provide open, welcoming housing to those we serve, we are always seeking groups to help with capital improvement projects throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx.
Because group projects actually require some level of expenditure on the part of BRC, we do respectfully request sponsorship so that we may insure all participants are adequately equipped with proper staff administration, water, lunch and supplies, i.e. paint, paint brushes, rollers, trays, extra drop cloths, extra bottles of cleaning fluids, rolls of paper towels, etc... Support varies by project type and size. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
- We do respectfully request support in order to purchase any/all supplies for each project.
- It would be extremely helpful if your group were able to travel outside the confines of Manhattan, i.e. to Brooklyn and/or the Bronx.
- Typical group projects must begin no earlier than 9:30am and end no later than 4pm. Most projects are usually 4 hours in length.
- Most all group projects take place Monday through Friday.
- While we have accomodated larger groups of 20+, most groups are generally 8-12.

Mission Statement
Helping people reclaim lives lost: We restore hope and dignity by offering opportunities for health and self-sufficiency.
Description
BRC: Helping People to Reclaim Lives Lost. BRC is a leading provider of housing and services to thousands of New York City's individuals in need. Offering a hand-up, not a handout, BRC asks one simple question: What can we do for you? BRC sees the potential in each individual it serves and provides each the opportunity to find it. Whatever our clients may seek, BRC has it, 24/7/365: outreach to homeless people living in public spaces, drug treatment, mental health care, comprehensive medical services, vocational services, and supportive communities in which to live. BRC succeeds by building trust with the people we serve; listening, and then acting, providing housing - both temporary and permanent. Building trust takes time, and a compassionate, dedicated staff of almost 1,000 employees and 1,000+ volunteers that persevere 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, never giving up.
