Do you play a musical instrument? Do you sing? We are actively looking for a volunteer who can provide the gift of music and their time to hospice patients. We all know how soothing music can be and some of us have seen how we, as humans can communicate through music.
We provide hospice services to adults that have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and have a life expectancy of six months or less to live. Hospice patients may reside in their own home or care facility. Cadence Hospice provide hospice services to patients across Orange County, as far north into LA County as Whittier and La Habra, down to San Clemente and San Bernardino County (i.e Rancho Cucamonga, Pomona, and Chino Hills), wherever the patient calls home. Patients may reside in their own home, board and care home or facility.
This opportunity is flexible around your schedule and availability. The amazing thing about music is that it touches everyone who can hear it whether they are the one you are playing for or not. During most of the pandemic, volunteer were not able to make visits. In the recent weeks we have seen some forward motion towards resuming volunteer visits. We hope that with time and patience that volunteers visits with resume. Physical distancing has made it difficult to make human connections but we are ready to face the challenges as a team.

The Traditions Health hospice team provides support and guidance to patients and their families to address each of these needs throughout their end of life journey. We walk with the patient and their loved ones each step of the way, providing the education and care they need to have the best quality of life possible.
Our team is passionate about building relationships with our patients and their loved ones so that we know what matters most to them. Whether the need is physical, spiritual or emotional, our compassionate hospice experts are available to provide the necessary support. Comfort and dignity are the anchors of hospice care. Our clinicians are highly skilled at recognizing and managing symptoms early, in most cases allowing the patient to remain comfortable at home throughout the end of their life.
