In a changing Hoosier state, AARP Indiana’s Community Advocate volunteers fight for a better quality of life and address the needs of people in Indianapolis.

Community Advocate volunteers can expect to attend public meetings, raise their voices on local policy issues, ranging from transit to housing, give back to their community through various service and fellowship opportunities, and act as AARP Indiana’s eyes and ears in their communities.

The Community Advocate serves as a community organizer and local point of contact for AARP Indiana’s efforts by engaging in the community and with elected officials. Additionally, the Community Advocate helps assure the state office stays connected with, and responsive to, the local community’s needs.

If you enjoy working with people and learning something new every day, the Community Advocate volunteer position is for you!

Additionally, if you want to make a difference and help your peers live their best life, volunteering with AARP Indiana is for you. For more information, contact Dan Domsic at ddomsic@aarp.org or call him at 317-778-9108.
