Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Project Helping

  • 10 people are interested

WHAT WE WILL DO:

Depending on the date, either

A) Help Butterfly Pavilion horticulture staff and volunteers care for the gardens. Project Helping volunteers will help with kid-friendly projects (ages 10+) which could include adding compost and mulch to annual beds, planting annuals or bulbs, or seed collecting and processing.

OR

B) Help Butterfly Pavilion horticulture staff and volunteers care for the nature trail. We will be clearing brush from the trail, removing invasive weeds, and collecting seeds.

ABOUT BUTTERFLY PAVILION:

Butterfly Pavilion is home to over 5,000 animals and is the premier invertebrate research, conservation, and education institution in the world. Their mission is to foster an appreciation of invertebrates while educating the public about the importance of conservation of threatened habitats in the tropics and around the world. Project Helping volunteers will help manage landscape and habitat restoration projects around the Butterfly Pavilion.
