GMS and Registration Coordinator Needed for Special Olympics Area Games in Missoula!

Special Olympics Montana in the Missoula Area is looking for a volunteer to help utilize our Games Management System and run Registration. This individual should be have technology skills, communication and organization skills. Training will be provided by our staff.

Position: GMS and Registration Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Create/Determine registration materials to be used for teams who will take part in the competition
• Remind coaches to use the current Green List to ensure that athletes, unified partners and coaches are up to date with paperwork, medical examinations, etc.
• *Set due date for and enter initial rosters (so that medals can be ordered)
• *Set due date and enter final registration from teams
• Collaborate with food coordinator on final meal counts for each team (may need to add numbers for coaches and volunteers)
• Organize and oversee team registration packet pick-up
• Utilize GMS database for divisioning all competition
• Enter all results at the completion of competition into GMS database and submit to state office
• Be available during the games to make sure that competition results are being documented (April 15th-April 17, 2020)
• Attend area games planning committee meetings as needed

Time Commitment:This role will require the volunteer to attend area games planning meetings as needed. Time will vary, depending on meetings and how long registration distribution takes.
