Bocce Awards Coordinator Needed for Special Olympics Spring Games in Missoula!

Special Olympics Montana is looking for volunteers to help put on their Area Spring Games in Missoula Area!

Bocce Awards Coordinator will help organize, direct and present the Awards that the athletes win at Bocce. This Awards Coordinator will have a sample script to follow, guidelines, and set-up visuals so once you are trained, it is easy to implement.

The Awards Coordinator has the following responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Awards committee meetings
• Create Awards plan for the games - by sport
• Work with Competition Co-Directors to purchase awards and have them ready for distribution
• Collaborate with Awards committee (and LETR representatives) to plan and execute award distribution
• Assist with recruiting "day of" volunteers to manage awards ceremonies
• Be available during the games to assist awards volunteers
• Attend Area Games planning committee meetings as needed
• Plan and facilitate awards volunteer training prior to the games (optional)

Time Commitment: This role will require the volunteer to attend planning meetings as needed, to form a "team" of awards volunteers and to be available the day(s) of competition to oversee the awards distribution at the various venues.
