ELARA CARING HOSPICE is looking for wonderful volunteers in the ENTIRE DETROIT METRO area. Our volunteers do patient companionship visits or work on projects in the office and even virtually!
Volunteers are needed to visit with patients and engage them in activities such as:
- Providing Patient Companionship in Nursing Facilities via listening, talking, or holding a hand.
- Provide Caregiver Relief in Private Residential Homes allowing family members to take a much-needed break.
- Playing music
- Deliver Flowers/Birthday Cards to Patients
- Assisting clerically in one of our Offices or sometimes virtually
All volunteers are given training to ensure the comfort of themselves and hospice patients and families alike. YOU ARE GIVEN TONS OF SUPPORT!
