ORGANIZATION: Greater Cleveland Volunteers

Spread mental health awareness by becoming a speaker to the community!

Topics include:

* In Your Own Voice- unique opportunity for 2 individuals to talk openly about living with a mental health condition. Include personal accounts of mental illness to help change attitude, assumptions and stereotypes

* Speaker's Bureau- feature speeches about living with or caring for someone living with a mental health condition. Audience members will learn from a first-hand account of what's it's really like to live with a mental health condition and receive services for it

* Ending the Silence- provide school-aged children an opportunity to learn about mental health conditions. Discuss the signs and symptoms, and provide ideas on how to help themselves, family members or friends.

Ideal candidate will be comfortable talking in front of various audiences and share aspects of their personal experiences.

Must be available for at least one year.

Serve weekdays on monthly or less freequent basis.

Training and materials provided.
Mandatory background check.
