Volunteers are needed to greet visitors and family members of hospice houses, located in Euclid and Westlake. Provide a friendly, welcoming presence while maintaining safety guidelines. Will screen visitors and direct them. Opportunities are available between 9 am and 9 pm, 7 days per week. Must be willing to make a weekly commitment. Virtual pre-interview and 4 orientation sessions required, plus a 2 step TB test. Mandatory background check.

Help a first-generation college student be successful! Mentors are needed to guide and mentor young adults through their college career. You would communicate with them via an online portal system, using guided communication prompts. Virtual mentoring occurs a few times a month, with 3 face to face social gatherings annually. Help a student through very flexible scheduling! Requires minimum bachelor's degree.

Help provide assistance to shelter residents during a time of crisis! Volunteers are needed to assist at shelters before, during or after a disaster event. Training is virtual and self-paced. Mandatory background checks. You would be deployed for a minimum of 14 days, working 8-12 hour shifts. Shelter Associate- support the day to day activities, which may include helping in reception , registration, feeding, dormitory, information or other areas within the shelter. Must be able to lift 20 lbs; stand or sit for 2 hour periods, walk 2 miles, work outdoors in inclement weather, climb 2 flights of stairs, work long periods on computer and/or small print; drive in daytime or night. Disaster Health Services- support the health services of a shelter. Some duties will include: hands on care; health education; health assessments; assist clients to replace medications, durable medical equipment; advocate for clients' needs and support maternal and child needs. Must be licensed (RN, LPN, LVN, EMT, MD, PA, or similar health licenses) Great opportunity to make a difference to people during a time of crisis!

Social isolation is a concern for today's senior- especially during this time of social distancing due to COVID. Make phone calls to homebound seniors once or two a times a week to check in on them, making they are doing OK and have all of their needs met. Commit to just 30 minutes per week and make a lasting impact! Mandatory background check. Be a friendly voice to seniors who want to hear from you. Virtual training and support provided.
