Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte is looking for volunteers who can assist us with our document digitization needs! Due to a recent increase in the number of documents needed to scan and archive, we need organized and motivated individuals like yourself to keep us moving efficiently.Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte is looking for volunteers who can assist us with our document digitization needs! Due to a recent increase in the number of documents needed to scan and archive, we need organized and motivated individuals like yourself to keep us moving efficiently.
Length of Commitment: 3 months, 3-4 hours per week
Days of the Week: one day of the week, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Scan paperwork related to Habitat for Humanity programming
- Manage sensitive documents related to clients, stakeholders, and others
- Organize, file, and destroy document hardcopies as directed
Qualifications or special skills needed:
- People/Communication skills
- Scanning and computer experience (optional)
- Ability to alphabetize
- Ability to file
- Ability to compute hours
- Able to climb stairs
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Can lift boxes of 20 pounds or so
Previous office experience is appreciated, but not necessary as all relevant training will be provided. Volunteers must also be willing to agree to a background check and non-disclosure agreement before starting the role.

Description
Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region builds houses in partnership with low income working families who purchase the homes at low interest and no profit. Volunteer labor and donated items help keep house costs low. Families must work on their own and other's homes.
