Wings of Hope changes and saves lives through the power of aviation.

Through our Medical relief and Air Transport program, our charity provides free transportation services to individuals who need specialized medical care that is not available to them locally. A majority of the people we serve are children with serious medical conditions.

Our Global Programs effort includes partnering with organizations that use aviation as a crucial tool in humanitarian services delivery. We assist our partners in acquiring airplanes, parts, and mechanical support. We also provide administrative support in strategic planning, impact evaluation, and funding.

We need an additional experienced IT professional to join our Information Services team supporting our technology infrastructure and its users. Microsoft network, desktop computers, and Microsoft software experience preferred.

Mission Statement

Wings of Hope is an aviation nonprofit working around the globe to lift people in need toward health and self-sufficiency.

Description

Wings of Hope was founded in 1962 and is the largest Humanitarian aviation charity in the world. Our intent is to save lives, improve the quality of lives, and bring hope to people where the utilization of aviation is vital to the accomplishment of these humanitarian endeavors. We have placed over 150 aircraft serving mankind in more than 40 countries.

We focus on what is needed in a region to help the less fortunate of our fellow man achieve an improved level of health care, education. and opportunity. Each region served has the work customized for their particular situation.

From our St. Louis area headquarters we operate a free Medical Air Transport program that serves the central United States. This service carries children with various maladies and birth defects, even those that are not ambulatory, to and from health care. It also carries adults who have debilitating health issues. If needed and possible, we may arrange for the medical care necessary at participating health care providers.

St. Louis HQ volunteer hours generally 9AM-5Pm, Monday through Friday.
